Creature of the Night

Night hiking provides some of the most spectacular views I’ve ever witnessed. The bears, porcupine, coyote and fox are all your fellow creatures. The stars, planets, galaxies and universes are in plane sight. The air is crisp like no other part of the day. Oh the Wing Chun of it all. “Siu Nim Tao!” -Sifu Z

Simplistic Gourmet

Old School Wing Chun Diet

The diet I promoted in my book “The Centerline” (currently out of print). Freshly cooked rice and beans with raw carrot and avacado. Side of chicken noodle soup. Plate of spices include olive oil, dill, turmeric, salt n pepper, soy sauce, chili pepper and garlic salt. Nutritious and affordable eating. Bon appétit!

The Vortex of Hell

I am seemingly at the vortex of hell. The Sierra’s are staying at about 88* while the surrounding areas are literally on fire. The most current Mosquito Fire is less than 2 hours west of my location. The winds are blowing to the Northeast so the smoke is not yet effecting our area. However the sky is a bit hazy with smoke and a slight wind change could alter air quality for the worse.

The nearby river is a good place to stay cool during times like these. I make sure Luna stays in the shallow end. She is not a buoyant dog. I hope you all are finding a way to stay cool and keeping out of harms way. A challange for us all. Aloha – Sifu Z n Luna

What In The World!

I came across this creature last night and I’m not sure what it was. My guess is a porcupine… maybe? It was huge about the size of my dog and fearless.
